Answers to Common Questions
CAMP BASICS
1. What is your Teacher/student ratio? The ratio is 1:12 or less.
2. Is the swimming free swim or is it lessons? The swimming (like all the sports) is a skills teaching process. We will group
the swimmers based on abilities and teach them swimming skills. We think this is one of the great parts of the camp.
3. What do we bring? Children need the following; athletic shoes, sunscreen/hat, shorts (or athletic style pants), swim suit, towel.
4. Is lunch provided? The children should bring a lunch each day. Some Fridays will be "Pizza Days" - we will let you know about these
days at the start of the week.
5. Will counselors remind kids about sunscreen? Yes, we will remind our campers about sunscreen and drinking water while they learn and play.
6. Do the kids need to bring their own equipment? No, we will have the necessary play equipment (tennis racquets, basketballs, etc)
Camp Activities will vary each day. Every day will include multiple sport sessions.
FINANCIAL QUESTIONS
1. How does the "lock- in" rate work? If you register by May 1st you get a $5 per week discount. If you register for 3 or more weeks you get
an additional $5 discount. This establishes the rate you pay for camp. If you add extra weeks you will keep this rate.
2. Do I have to reserve a spot each week upfront or can we reserve spots later? You must reserve at least two camp weeks in
advance so that we can plan staffing. You may be able to add the week prior but this is not guaranteed. The Camp director and Camp
Administrator will work with you if you need scheduling assistance.
3. When do you pay for the camp? Payment for the first two weeks is due upon registration.
An additional $25 is due at registration for additional weeks. The balance for these weeks is due at the start of each week or prior to the
start of the week, whichever is easier for you. Payment must be received no later than Monday (or the first day of the week you child attends)
at the sign in table or mailed to our PO Box 2470, Loveland, CO 80539 address prior to the week of camp.
4. Is the $25 reservation fee subtracted from the total week's cost? Yes, the $25 is a deposit and is credited towards your weekly fee.
5. Do you refund for sick days? No. We hire and pay staff based on registration so our costs for the camp must be met. In addition
the camp rate is set and we have done the best we can to establish an economical rate.
SAFETY
1. Do you sign children in and out of camp? Yes, the parent or adult that is on the child's registration form must sign the child
in and out of the camp. You can put down adults that are accepted by the family on your registration form.
2. Who are the instructors and counselors? The instructors are PE teachers and coaches from our community. The counselors are college students or
high school students with extensive background in sports. Each sport will have an instructor and a counselor.
3. Will there be background checks for the workers? Yes, we conduct background checks and reference checks on employees.
4. What about medications, inhalers? We have a separate release form for children with medications so that we are aware of their medication
and so that we can assist in making sure the child takes it properly.
5. Will there be lifeguards watching during the pool time? Yes there is a lifeguard as well as instructors.
ORGANIZING DAYS AND WEEKS
1. Can we mix full and half days in one week? If you are going to attend the camp during the week for a full day you must pay the full day rate for
the week. We have several families that use the camp at various times based on their schedule.
2. Can we sign up for only a couple days per week? Sessions are weekly and charged as such but you can attend when it works for you and your
child. We often have children come to camp 3-4 days out of the week.
3. Can we mix weeks? Some full, some half? Yes. It is our goal to be flexible and you can do some weeks full and other weeks half.
4. Can we switch weeks if needed? Yes, if this is done two weeks in advance.
5. How long in advance can we add, subtract or change week schedules? Two weeks notice is required to change as we must make sure
we have the correct number of counselors and instructors.
6. Can parents drop off late and/or pick up early? Yes. One of the camps primary goals is to be flexible for families. Please note: You
must sign in and out each day.
